I don’t know what those stats prove in this case but anyway…I can’t even judge. Lucas isn’t popular amongst Liverpool fans and same goes for Denilson amongst Arsenal. Apart from the United game, Denilson has been very good for us. I like his link up play and passing. I do rate him above Diaby when he’s fully fit. Also, I don’t know how much Lucas cost (6 million) but Denilson cost around 3 million so he hasn’t really got anything to live up to. He is a good player just not one i’d like to see start every game.

well mate lucas hasnt been ridiculed this year, he’s been praise by most fans outside of liverpool, half of the fans at liverpool are the ones who ridicule him. but in all fairness both of them are great players and are different in a way, denilson is better on the attack while lucas is a better tackler.
i really cant decide at this point but both are very good.

They are different players, Denilson is quicker, a better finisher and a better passer (especially going forward).
Lucas is better doing the dirty work: tackling and laying off the ball to Benayoun, Gerrad and Riera etc while they gets the praise.
They both have some more developing to do. Obiviously Denilson is more advanced in his development because he has not only played more, but started more: 11 as opposed to 20, and has been a big part of the first team while previous to this season, almost half of Lucas’ appearances have been from the bench. Lets not forget the style of football the two managers play and what they expect from their players.
To say who’s better is difficult, but and interesting fact is the National caps. It is clear who Dunga sees as the better??-maybe….. but certainly the more useful player.
